Devlog Update: Knight AI Improvements, New Feedback Adjustments, and Bug Fixes
After receiving some valuable feedback and reviewing the game, I've made several changes to improve the overall experience for players. Here's a rundown of the latest updates:
1. Knight AI Adjustments: One of the main concerns was the Knight AI being too aggressive, often attacking the player too soon and restarting the game. I’ve adjusted the Knight's behavior to give players more time to explore and engage with the environment before the Knight starts attacking. The AI now waits longer before becoming a serious threat, allowing players more freedom to search for the relics.
2. Visual and Audio Cues for the Knight’s Approach: To make the encounter with the Knight more intuitive, I've added a red screen effect that slowly appears when the Knight is near. This visual cue gives players a warning that the Knight is closing in, adding tension and helping players react more strategically.
3. Bug Fix: Winning and Dying at the Same Time I also fixed a bug where players would die exactly at the same time they won the game, causing the game to restart unexpectedly. This was an unfortunate bug that disrupted the flow of the game, but it’s now been resolved. Players can now enjoy a smoother end-game experience.
